Wildlife picture commissions
Wildlife pictures can evoke memories of something as exciting as a holiday or as simple as a walk in your local park. They can remind us of the nature on our doorstep, inspire us to travel or, quite simply, bring a smile to our faces. Perfect if you are looking for a unique and special gift.
For wildlife commissions I can create something from your own photographs or we can find and agree a suitable reference picture (with appropriate agreement from the photographer).
Starting a commission
The best place to start is by getting in touch with me via the contact form. We can then discuss what you want, my availability and timescales (particularly important if it is going to be a gift). We can also do some research into reference photographs if we need to.
To complete a picture I will need at least one photograph. The higher quality the photo the more I can see the finer details and bring them out in my drawing.
At this stage we will also agree aspects such as the size of your picture, paper colour and if you would like a background. Once I have these details I can provide you with a quote specifically for your picture. This quote will take into account the subject of the picture, complexity and the number of hours it will take me to create. To give you an idea of prices (excluding shipping) prior to me providing you with a specific quote I have provided a price guide.
Securing a booking
When we have agreed what the picture will include and a price I will ask you to pay deposit of 25% so I can get started.
The final portrait and shipping
If you would like to see the creative process, I can send you updates as I create your picture. Once I have finished your picture I’ll send you a photo of the completed artwork. When you confirm you are happy with the portrait then we can arrange payment of the remaining balance. Once this is done I will carefully package your artwork and send it on its way to you ready for you to enjoy.
Framing
The prices quoted on my website exclude framing but I can arrange for this to be done prior to shipping. This should be agreed in the initial stages of the commission so that the cost is incorporated into the quote and additional time factored into the delivery schedule.
