Pet portraits

As we move into spring I’ve continued my iconic British birds series with this jay. The colours in the wing feathers from bright blue to rich browns have made it an interesting bird to draw. Each feather has taken time to find the right mix of colours but it has been worth it.

Now it’s finished the jay will be heading off to be professionally photographed and printed.
